What would you say are the trademarks of my writing? What themes or quirks or turns of phrase have you noticed? What is it that makes a story by me -- well, a story by me?

What is it that makes a character or RP thread by me distinctively mine?

Thanks!

There's a reason I instinctively picked you to take Celina on, and it's got to do with my feelings about your play style and interests. Probably that's because of the outsider female (often Rebman) characters I've seen you play, particularly BB and Passel. Benedict doesn't touch on the female thing, obviously, but he's a mysterious outsider type if ever I saw one.

I love a good culture clash in fiction and rping. Thanks for your insight. I agree that in Benedict's case, the immense time difference with his sibs has created the culture clash.

You build with words to make things that are greater than the sum of their parts -- suggesting meanings that are outside the scope of the meanings of the individual pieces.

Which might be an architect thing, come to think of it.

I'm going to think about this one hard for a bit. Thanks. I like the analogy you chose.

You like to experiment with new types of characters and forms. You do outsiders very well indeed, people who are on the outside looking in of the social structure.

Your writing is multi layered, deceptively simple but with hidden depths that reminds me of writers like Gene Wolfe.

While the 'loner' and 'outsider' types are inherently unsticky... I've found (mostly through Strange Bedfellows (http://www.all-roads-lead.net/jvstin/strange/)) that you can pin the Outsider types to the other PCs/Characters by making them care a whole lot about the outcome that befalls.

'Batman' is a great example of this effect. He doesn't work well in groups, but he will to get the job done.

Some day I'd like to do a really good insider.
