valentine to caithness

your dress is so red
your coachman wears black
I'm better off dead
than with you in the sack

Oh, yeah, right.

Tell me Ben isn't intrigued and I'll call you the liar you are. :p

Oh, right

I believe this one.

Does the word Lintra ring a bell?

And that means he's not intrigued how?

If he didn't care, he wouldn't be writing valentines at all.

ok, ok, he's intrigued...
He's Benedict, he has nothing to do but be curious about the universe. And that defending Amber thing.

And this isn't a threat to Amber he wants to investigate, I guess. :o

[identity profile] arrefmak.livejournal.com 2003-11-24 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
In the grand scheme of things, this would be a better opportunity to let Amber's hidden and less-tested strengths come out from reserve, sweeping out on to the field of play, distracting and undermining the enemies appreciation of their own basis of conflict.

In a word, "bide."

Whatever.

Just sic all the curious delegates on her by dropping words in their ears. Soon half the women in the place will be wanting to spar with her (Dara, Sand, Zarina, this new girl of Arden's, and who knows) and the other half will just *so* want to know all about the battle, or in Emmie's case, the headless driver, or how she keeps her lovely complexion so pale, and Neti, of course, will be trying to get her to teach her whichever lanuage they speak in Ghenesh.

Next thing you know, poor Caithness will be desperately riding for a mountain on which to avoid all this crazed attention.

[identity profile] arrefmak.livejournal.com 2003-11-24 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
I really like that idea.

[identity profile] arden-ranger.livejournal.com 2003-11-24 10:16 am (UTC)(link)
Zarina?

No way! She's going to think she's an evil Djinn! Or something sent by the evil Dijinn!

Especially after the wild tales her horsemaster is going to be telling her about the carriage and driver.

To Velasca, is she is going to look too soft. Like one of those primping men.

Linde's with Zarina. As wide a berth as possible... and then some...

[identity profile] arden-ranger.livejournal.com 2003-11-24 10:17 am (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, Ben. The girls will protect you. :P

We'll just shove Llewella in front of her...

(What you mean 'we', ranger?)

pfft.

Hey! I'll bet Merlin would like her!

I dunno, I think one of Amber's underappreciated strengths is currently dealing with Caithness. At least I'd describe him as underappreciated based on Caine's reaction ....

Martin thinks she's scary as all get-out, but he kind of likes that in a woman.

Caine's just snarky

[identity profile] princejvstin.livejournal.com 2003-11-24 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
Caine's just snarky, is all.

Martin isn't the weakling Caine thinks he is.

Hyena. (No, not Martin. Caine)

Ben and Random may be the only people who really appreciate the long game that Martin is playing. Nobody thinks he could take the throne, but how many people see Martin in bits like the scene with Random on the evening of Day 0?

Martin plays to the stereotype of naive kid more than he actually is one.

Exactly my point.
That's my boy.
Go get 'er, tiger.
