Doing five games this year seems about right. While the game list is rather firm, the slot arrangement is not. Feel free to comment on either game or slot. Thanks.

slot 1: City of Czars: Agents of the Argent Rose

slot 2: Clandestine Chronicles of the Cobalt Charter

slot 3: player

slot 4: the Black Watch Must Die!

slot 5: player

slot 6: Stairway Perilous!

slot 7: player

slot 8: Five Sides to Every Story

I'm bummed that I might not be able to reprise in Cobalt Charter. We have to move in May and I'm thinking there will be expenses.

emote: disheartened.

I sorta thought you might say that. We'll talk so I have an idea of what Your D might do if she appears.

However, I say to you both...

And note how quickly I change my icon Djinn. :) Byebye scary face.

However... and I am reminded of Peter Pan extolling for Tinkerbell in the Charlap/Leigh broadway musical version (the one that Sandy Duncan popularized).
Its not over until we decide in our hearts that its over.

One little sigh and the percentile points of me coming just jumped up.. a few.

We'll see. Income tax returns might sway things. Also if I beg and plead. Let me think.

In the meantime, Djinn, this may not be the appropriate time or place.. but I'm posting on LJ very regularly. Pretty sanely. I understand if you need to keep things simple, but you're always welcome back. Don't have to though.

Ah, thanks for the headsup.
I'm getting over the being weirded out by freaky glowing guy... !!!

Our situation financially is rocky, too, to the point where I may be sleeping in the van and Mark is maybe not coming... we'll have to see how all of this shakes out.

We haven't looked at whether to do a gather this year for the HOC people in slot 8.

I've slotted "Five Sides" there because it is really a short game (normally 3 hours) and it allows a fun finish to the con and still have me show up for a 'hello' if you guys do the social.

Hopefully best of both worlds, but we'll see.

We normally run in slot one, but I may have to change that to do Argent Rose.

Slot one seems to be a problem for three folks so far. I will take suggestions for another slot placement.

Hmmm, I may be forced to choose between Argent Rose and Ill Met. Is Stairway Perilous a new one?

Stairway Perilous is new:
According to the oldest children of Oberon, the Faiella-Bionin was constructed in a single night.

No one knows how this monumental engineering feat was accomplished by Queen Faiella, except that she had secret relationships with strange allies in shadow. Now the land bridge to Rebma is failing.

Only thirty percent of Rebma's inhabitants are actually able to survive the watery depths because of their Athanor heritage. If the bridge fails, it is expected that almost seventy thousand people could perish.

Evacuation has started. There may be nine hours before tragedy fully strikes. The PCs must discover the secrets of Faiella and her phantom engineers as quickly as possible or join the almost impossible task of saving the strongest allies Amber has.

My jaw dropped when I saw "Argent Rose" up there. Yay!

You've currently got Cobalt Charter in a slot I already told Kindred I would run a Dashing Blades game...

Is Kindred coming?
I've heard rumors to the contrary... ??

He's apparently coming this year, but likely not after that. It seems like the only weekend he can get away is the weekend before Easter, and we rarely hit that date.

Our long holiday drive to and from my parents' is usually when spouse and I lay out our tentative travel plans for the coming year. So I should know better in about a week whether (and, possibly, which days) we'll be making the drive up for ACUS. I would really like to go, and if I go, I'd really like to play in Cobalt Charter again.

Last year I didn't arrive 'til Friday evening, but this year I'm teaching Monday/Wednesday and so am probably more likely to show up early/leave early than the other way 'round. (OTOH, if spouse is coming with me, we may need to spend fewer days there.) I'll let you know more specifics within the next few days.

(Also -- yay, I get to use my Cobalt Charter icon!)

I had hoped to go to ACUS this upcoming year, but it's not looking good for it. [frowns] Still, I read in hope!

I am uncertain now whether I am going to ACUS for a number of reasons.

Based on my experience with it, I agree that Five Sides is a good slot 8 game.

I am, sadly, committed in Slot 1 to a private game. But Simone is so easily off on her own adventures, perhaps Brazil? With that somewhat unbalanced gentleman who may occassionally see things that aren't there, but whose ability to discuss philosophy makes up for silly things (like paranoid delusions of lobsters following one about brought on by some rather scientific experimentation with acid. Or mushrooms, or something like that.)

Are there any slots where it would work much better for you?

5 (where I usually recover from being up til 3 or 4 am with Ill Met), possibly 8 - I'm notoriously hard to schedule around. It is therefore inadvisable to attempt it. It may be possible for you get everyone else...
