Thoughts ongoing for a new campaign: TenFold Millennium

By the clocks of Science, there are only so many moments in the life of the sun. On the third planet from the star, intangible moments bring a rebirth and nine Riders awaken from the Long Dark. They have slept long enough to have forgotten their names and purpose. Power without purpose heralds the end of everything.

Will they find a purpose? Or will the Riders herald the end instead?
The third planet has changed in ways that will be hard to fathom. The nine Riders awake without their Mounts or the eyes to see the beauty of this modern world. And will the Determinants consign them to another TenFold Millennium before they know enough to gather themselves?

20 Character points for PC attributes, 10 of them are placed by Player and 'vaguely remembered' by your fellow PCs.

PC starts with no knowledge of any attribute point placement. Only other PCs may help reveal attributes by in-character enticement and providing opportunity for spotlight to said PC.

Likewise, attribute points 11 through 20 are assigned in-game by events unfolding. Opportunity provided by group action and encouragement, selection and activation by PC Player.

Solve the mystery anew each time you play. Gather and restore the wonder of your Rider.

I think I've played a game like this... ;)
Sounds faintly familiar, it does.

This set-up should produce some excellent game, if my memory serves me, and I do believe in this instance it does.

And a nod to Rocannon's World, if I don't miss my guess.

Wow... googled that for spelling. One, I didn't remember it being LeGuin. Two, I didn't know there were more in that book cycle... hmmmm....

Thanks. The RFL's first comment was, "Hey, that sounds like Five Sides..."
